Description

Fenix Cree High Intensity LED motorcycle running lights are among the brightest we've seen. And being LEDs, they draw only a tiny bit of power. This is especially good news for bikes with low wattage alternators. Even better, Cree LED lights cost only a fraction of competing LED lamp brands. These lights will really make your bike stand out in traffic, day or night and being seen means staying alive!

What's really cool about the controller box in this kit, is you can wire the box directly to your battery or fuse block without a switch. When you start your bike, the controller senses the temporary voltage drop at the battery and switches the lights to "on". After you shut off your bike, the controller knows this too and shuts down your CREE lights about 20 seconds after the ignition is switched off.  How cool is THAT?!   If you want to fit a switch so you can turn off the lights while riding (can you say "stealth mode"?) that's easy. Just install a switch rated at .75 amps or better on the red wire positive feed to the control box. And if you want to be really clever you can add a switch to run the lights in a dimmed mode. In that event install a switch from a positive feed like your headlight circuit, to the white wire at the control box.

This pair of high intensity LED running lights come with four Cree LED emitters each, and each LED is focused with a multifaceted reflector. The lamps are also supplied with a light gauge sheet metal swivel bracket for easy mounting just about anywhere. Kit includes two lamps with mounting brackets, a controller box and some additional wiring with quick disconnects. The wattage draw of these lamps is so small, there is no need to wire them up with a relay, or even a switch for that matter. Just wire them up to a switched circuit...... easily done with one of our  fuseblocks!!

Dimensions:
Each light pod is 7cm in width, 4cm in depth, and all aluminum casing.

These LED running lights can be fitted to just about any motorcycle or scooter as they draw less than 0.7 amps! That's quite remarkable. A pair of these high intensity LED lamps draw a combined wattage that is only 2/3 of a typical single incandescent brake (1157) light bulb.

Tech Specs:  Supply Voltage 9 to 32 volts DC, Power Rating Appx. .75A, Light Output 600 Lumens (650 Lux) per lamp, Color Temp 6000K, Life Expectancy > 50,000 hours

Cree High Intensity LED Driving Lights V2 June 19, 2012

Lights work as they should and do their job.  The one item that could be improved on is the mounting bracket.  I mounted them on the forks and their is not enough room between the mounting screw head and the light body.  If the arms on the bracket were a little longer their would be no problem.

Good product. Poor mounting bracket design... May 16, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Montreal, QC Canada
Overall, I'm happy. They're bright and reasonably priced. I bought them to be conspicuous during daylight hours and they certainly accomplish this. I've seen both car drivers and other motorcyclists veer their attention towards me at intersections. I can easily tell that I'm more visible than I was without them. I found the enclosed brackets useless and ended up fashioning my own to mount them on my lower forks. The brackets need  1/4" more depth so the light can be  aimed properly. I also wish the instructions were better. The brown and blue wire are not actually required. Just wire direct to the battery or fuseblock and the lights come on when the bike is started. The purpose of the white wire isn't explained. The web site states that the white wire can be used to dim the lights but I couldn't find any instructions clearly explaining how to do this.
